Russia has celebrated its biggest festivity as New Year 2013 was making its way through the world’s largest country’s nine time zones bringing joy, fireworks and music. Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the nation with a traditional New Year’s speech calling for national unity, in order to make Russia strong and indestructible. A jubilant crowd in Moscow’s Red Square bid farewell to 2012 and welcomed the New Year, as the landmark Spasskaya Tower of the Kremlin struck twelve.
